Institute of Microfinance and Development (IMAD) aims to promote ethical and equity-based microfinance and development of microenterprises as a tool of poverty alleviation. It seeks to:

• Provide on-campus education in management of development

• Design, develop and offer training programs for managers of microfinance institutions

• Undertake research & publication on developmental issues

• Maintain a state-of-the-art Resource Center

• Provide consultancy

• Promote networking at a global level

• Initiate replication of globally successful projects

• Provide related services aimed at capacity building in the sector
